This is a really well made product compared to several other wooden handles I have tried. I was surprised at how rough, tough and scratchy it is for me, I have to be careful in those 'sensitive areas'. My husband, on the other hand, would be happy. The great length facilitates access to all areas of the back. For people with small hands. Gripping and holding the thick/hard wooden handle for the duration of my shower time was a bit difficult - my hands hurt, this is not a negative reflection of the product just my personal experience. Haven't tried changing the nylon washcloth yet (they give extra ones as a spare). There is a "how to" video that I thought was a good approach to customer service.
