These stylish picks are definitely easier to grab than a toothpick. But because they're so short, their use seems limited. Usable space on the pick ranges from just under 2 inches to almost 2 1/2 inches. So think seriously about the size of your snacks and snacks before you buy them. They're too short for golf ball-sized meatballs. (They will work, but they will be disproportionately large and heavy for a small red disk, and your nails might get too close to the meatball.) These picks are also too small for martini glasses. (You would gouge out your own eye.) Also note my third sentence above: you are not accurate. The end covered with black paint varies by half an inch. It's okay if you toss them in a small container and put a bunch of fruit or pieces of cheese next to them. But if you've spent hours working on a perfectly formed appetizer platter, it will ruin your creation.
