Review on Fairly Odd Novelties FON 10019 Black by Monica Nixon

I like silicone because it's easy to clean and easy to peel off. I figured the smart shape would be fun and that the 7.62 x 39 shaped ice cubes would fit in some tall thin glasses I have. Correct on both counts. The party-goers thought they were really neat. However, there were a few things I didn't consider before purchasing. First, how little ice do you get even from three of these. You can easily use all three trays for 3 drinks. Because they are very small and the silicone is flexible, they are difficult to fill and pop in the fridge without spilling. The ice cubes are tiny even if you didn't throw away half the water. They come off easily when you press from below. If you try to take the cartridges out from the top, the rim will likely get stuck and break. So pull from below. What's even sadder is that due to the orientation of the tablet, each "cartridge" has a flat side that kind of breaks the cooling. If the shape was vertical I wish this product was much better. So it's smart and fun, but not enough to outweigh some of the issues and some ice cream. PS ThinkGeek sells a similar product that comes in two printed halves. That would probably look right. In hindsight, it's probably a counterfeit TG product.
