I was researching whether a 'surge protector' was required for my conversion van and there was definitely a lot of information in there. Surge protection is only a small part of what is required to ensure my electrical system is not damaged by faulty wiring at the RV site. Very easy to use. Connect to the pole, wait 10 seconds and when the indicator turns green you know it's safe to connect your RV. It's quite expensive, but compared to the damage that overvoltage or faulty wiring can do to your entire electrical system and anything plugged into your RV's outlets, it's a drop in the bucket. I recommend you browse the available YouTube videos if you are looking for such a device.
