Wouldnt recommend for mice unless add more wire.

I got this as a day time cage for my mouse while I'm away at work, so I could give him more toys to keep him from boredom. While he loves it, the bar spacing is too wide for a mouse and he could easily crawl out. So I invested 16 dollars in some wire fabric and covered every side of the cage with it, then cut the doors out and holes for the tubes. It now is suitable for him and he enjoys playing in it while I'm away.
