I had mixed thoughts when purchasing this item but I'm glad I did. After reading MANY reviews of other brands and debating whether or not to go with the more expensive French brand, I settled on this one. This is my first enameled cast iron cookware and I'm really looking forward to using this little beauty to cook a variety of stovetop and oven dishes. It's 3.7 liters and that's quite a lot; In the pictures you can see my rolling pin and tiles in the background for size reference. Pros: MUCH cheaper than brand name No chips, scratches, or creases The enamel on the outside feels well applied, as does the enamel on the inside. The lid has these little rounded tips to allow moisture to drip down during cooking to keep moisture in the bowl. Cons: The metal lid is a bit sharp around the edges, not really round. This is a minor nitpick for me that doesn't affect my score as I can replace the handle if it really bothers me and I'll put on potholders when I'm happy with the lid (and there are a lot of handles). grab with the stove). -minute hand). The other main complaint I see in other reviews is that enamel cracks and peels off the cast iron rendering the pan unusable. If so I will come back and update this review.
