The box itself is fine and works perfectly. But without software it's useless, and software is terrible. The Android app can only be downloaded from the EpEver website, but even if you can get it working (and it requires ridiculous permissions like "phone" and "location" - neither of which are really needed), it is the app is poorly designed and coded. It keeps disconnecting, never reconnecting, not updating itself automatically, and so on. The provider claims that this is an old app and they will put a new app on the play store "soon". I got the new app (which ironically isn't available on EpEver's own website) through this box's retailer, Revain (SolaMr), and in some ways it's even worse than the old app. The new and "improved" app doesn't really provide the stats that the old one had, like min/max. Battery voltage etc. It's totally wrong. It also can't automatically detect the solar controller or remember the battery type, which the crappy old app actually does. It looks a little better, but who cares if the functionality isn't there. The parameters of Li-Ion and LPF4/Lifepo4 batteries have also been completely changed - the charging voltage is 100V, the charging temperature is cut off at -35 degrees Celsius and so on. At least the old app had the correct settings configured. The Windows software requires a serial connection (seriously?) and doesn't even support Wi-Fi, so I didn't bother, but I'm sure it's complete rubbish. Plus, it even looks like a PC app from the 1990s. The bottom line is that EpEver can make decent controllers, but their software is completely late - archaic and not very user-friendly or user-friendly. Not to mention that everything is in Chinglish.
