Review on πŸ”§ HHIP 4401 0811 Mini Universal Magnetic: A Compact and Versatile Tool for Magnetic Applications by Jessie Drury

Ideal for a model construction company, as well as for a chemical or metalworking shop.

I work with plastic and metal models and often need small parts that need to be held while painting or gluing. Many tools are available for this purpose, but model makers need a range of tools that will hold the desired weight. Some tools can be clipped to the edge of a desk or table, but that's not always the best place. So we have a controlled magnetic base with universal swing arms and a handle attached to the base. The base has an on/off switch that looks like a power button; What it does is move the internal magnets to magnetize the base. When the device is turned on, the base is magnetized and firmly bonded to the steel surface, which can apply a large load to the swing arm. Turn off the power and the entire base can be easily removed from the surface and put away. The swing arm is easily adjustable in position and resistance, and the handle can also be tightened or loosened to your liking. Overall I find the base useful in my model building business and it meets my needs as expected.

Pros
  • Fits all AGD gauges and gauges
Cons
  • Very expensive
