I bought this electric door lock knowing the original was going to be gone soon. 2 1/2 months later it got a lot worse so I changed it. There were a few issues in the process but it took less than 2 hours to start and finish the whole job. Their downloadable instructions are rather incomplete. They're written with the assumption that you've already removed the door panel and water seal, plus they're a bit incomplete for the area they cover. But it works fine, at least for the moment. Hopefully it will outlast the old block which was the second I have had to replace on this 11 year old car in a year.
