Cat, plant is now on the same window sill
To place the new potted plant on our cat's favorite window sill, I joined several mats lengthwise and then trimmed them down with small wire cutters. The mat keeps the plant at a safe distance from the cat, the cat sits comfortably on the window sill and without too much depth the shade can be completely covered if desired.
