Review on Mr. Heater MHVFGH30NGBT Black Vent Free Space Heater by Mike Woolford

Even a novice like myself installed it safely and properly in our living room after lots of self education. No one source of education was enough. I learned a lot from talking to various plumbers, read the manual several times, watched lots of youtube videos, and talking to Mr heater customer service reps. Long hold times but they're great.• Get the correct install / hose kit (Installation Kit, Model# F273684) as recommend by mr heater - not amazon which includes a regulator• Keep the propane tank outside and heater inside,• Propane tank remains unhoused, open to the air, no wrapping or insulation on the tank,up to -44f• tubing goes through the wall, use OVC pipe as a conduit• use NPT adapter nipples - look it up,• check for leaks using leak liquid,• use yellow sealant tape made for gas with at least 3 wraps,• dont use sealant tape on the tapered end of the connecters,• snug dont over tighten,• youll need 2 adjustable wrenches,• have a carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher.• When indoors, its meant to be used as supplement & for outages, not the main heat source.• Dont run for more than 2 hours• "Bleed the line” when first used – look it up• There should be no CO smell, no gas smell at all.
