Review on iSmile Teeth Whitening Pen - 35% Carbamide Peroxide, Sensitivity-Free, Portable, User-Friendly, 2mL, 2 Pack by Andrea Smith

Here is my honest review after two months of using this product. When I first received the product it came with a 'Coupon' for 2 free extra whitening pens. In the company's defense, there was no consideration, meaning they didn't need a positive review to qualify for a free offer. But I was wary because every time I've come across these "free" offers before, the product has turned out to be useless. Because I was uncomfortable with other teeth whitening systems, I used gel sticks once a day, in the morning, after brushing and flossing. I have followed all product instructions to the letter. Here are the pros and cons. BENEFITS: 1) I have sensitive teeth and gums and other whitening products cause discomfort. iSmile grips are soft. The gel will cause a slight sting if you accidentally apply it to your gums or lips, but generally it will not cause pain in your teeth or gums. 2) The handles are very easy to use. You simply apply bleach after brushing your teeth and wait 60 seconds for the whitening gel to dry. 3) They get slightly whiter. I didn't have badly discolored teeth and after two months of use I would say my teeth were a shade lighter. CONS: 1) iSmile pens don't whiten well. A shade lighter after two months of use? This is by no means a miracle. And it's not "a few shades whiter" as the packaging promises; 2) iSmile pens should be peppermint flavored to mask the taste of hydrogen peroxide. The mint flavor is mostly absent, and you'll still get a bad peroxide aftertaste. Conclusion: Simply "good". You may get better results if you use it several times a day or apply the gel before bed. But I was reluctant to do it with sensitive teeth and gums. If you're looking for a subtle, slight brightening, this will work. But I will try another product in the future.
