Record sound is weak

This was a gift for my dad and after testing the bluetooth and radio sound was surprisingly good for a speaker. The music was busy and the volume could be very high, we kept it at a medium volume. Then we tried a few records. Surprisingly weak sound. It was like all high frequencies, the sound was thin. And the volume at the high level was a far cry from the Bluetooth/wireless volume at the average level. Such a disappointment. I don't want the sound of my recording to shake the windows, but it needs to be fuller and not sound like I'm listening to music through the iPhone's speakers.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Reliability
