Review on 🍋 Lemon Cloud Mosaic Window Film: Privacy Frosted Stained Glass Rainbow Cling for Glass - 17.5" x 78.7" 3D Mosaic by Latoya Harper

Pros: Simple. Accessible. That's all. And that applies to almost all other window films. I thought the grid would be a plus for the brand as it would make straight lines easier to cut, but no, a good idea is only worth it if done right. The pattern appears to be printed on the same side as the window so half of the mesh is lifted with the film and you can see the pattern of the mesh on the glass (see image). I could tell that something didn't look right, but I didn't notice it until I saw it against the background of the transparent part of the window (i.e. the top half that has no screen). I've tried erasing it with Windex but the grid lines don't resolve. More wasted energy. Cons: Aside from the raised grid lines, there's a discrepancy between how it looks in advertising and real life. I was expecting the mosaic squares to be about an inch, but these squares are tiny. 4 sqm/cm^2. Less mosaic and more like a dusty window (the mesh certainly contributes to that). The level of confidentiality does not correspond to that indicated on the website. I expected them to be "affordable" but no, they're cheap. The plastic is very thin. 3D suggests a tangible thickness, but the only thing you'll feel when you run your fingers over it is disappointment. They started building across from my apartment and it hurts my eyes. Thought it would be a good way to block that ugliness. The photographs show these large colorful mosaic squares that are almost magical. I don't know what Snapchat filters they used to create this look, but yeah, I feel caught. perplexed. I read some other reviews (unfortunately AFTER I installed it) and I agree with what many of them say. There is a line that stands out from time to time. It's like a thicker gap in the grid, and with those tiny squares, it's so noticeable. Spend a dollar or two more and just avoid all these disappointments.
