I don't have anything to compare it to, but I don't think it's great. It's definitely easy to use, except I've always had at least one corner that wasn't sticking to my skin. Obviously this would be a problem if you wanted to create a tight seal against water and irritants. Luckily I just wanted to use this instead of wrapping myself in cling film to sleep in after getting my rib tattoo. It's definitely way better than wrapping yourself in cling film. It seems to me that maybe this gives a tighter, more secure seal in an area that moves less than the ribs, like the shoulder or thigh? All in all it was comfortable. Wear and worked well, reduced friction and stayed closed. I probably wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something more impenetrable.
