Thank you to the reviewers for the glowing positive reviews, they pushed me to buy this gun and I am so glad I did! I've been painting home projects with the Harbor Freight Gun Set for about a year and have gotten used to a mediocre painting experience and mediocre results. With this gun I paint like a pro! My finish is smooth and the control is amazing. As you can see from the photo, there were initially spatter/splash issues. I read about this problem, read the instructions, and assumed air was getting into the paint channel. There is a cryptic line in the instructions for "tighten the packing". I'm pretty sure this means tightening the nut on the fitting surrounding the needle as it enters the point area. I did this, wrapped teflon tape around the threads of the jar and tightened it snugly, installed a plastic ring with air ducts and a white washer on the gun body and tightened the air cap snugly. No more spatter with this super smooth finish. To me, this gun was like going from a 20-year-old Dodge Dakota truck (HF runs) to a new BMW. The workmanship and the metals used are amazing. The feel and precision of the dials are luxurious. The regulator sensor on mine didn't work so I fitted the other one I had. The product far outweighs this issue, so happy, excited to paint the next project!
