Review on Unleash Your Skills with the Yomega Raider Responsive Designed Advanced by David Mcdonald

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Broke from the start

EDIT: Yomega finally got back to me and replaced my yoyo for free. The new one works great. The rating has increased from 2 to 4 stars. I'm sure it's a good yoyo in theory and a good improvement over the Fireball, but mine wasn't made correctly and the threads were cut wrong so they don't really have any purchase on the nut they screw into. Also, the yo-yo was not centered and was not straight when assembled. These Yomegas used to be nearly indestructible but now both my Fireball and Raider are broken and all the Yomega emails have not been returned. My Fireball worked and realizing my Raider had smashed right out of the box and Yomega wasn't getting back to me, I changed the innards from the Raider to the Fireball body (identical bodies) and it worked great for about a week, like one Nut, into which the spindle is screwed, fell off the body and fell off. Now I can't take it apart or tighten the yo-yo because the nut just goes round and round so it's basically useless. Two Yomega purchases a few days apart and both turned out to be garbage in less than a week. I'm getting rid of the nostalgia of owning a Yomega in the past and I'm going to buy some specially designed yoyos from other manufacturers. Don't waste your money if you literally have no idea what you're doing and just want to learn the basics, but still don't be surprised if it breaks after a week.
