Review on πŸ” Silver Riverstone Audio VTF Tracking Force Gauge/Scale for Turntable Stylus, 0.005g Resolution, Accurate Measurement at LP Record Level Height (2 mm to 3 mm) by Brian Barnes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thanks to this sensor, my old one is now destined to haunt my "box of stuff ";

The Riverstone Audio Level Meter was EXACTLY what I needed to install my freshly installed atOC-9/iii cart on my Pro-Ject RPM 5.1se turntable. With the offset jig in place, I was able to just put the pin on it without removing the drive and do a VTF calibration on the sub drive (something I had to do with my previous sensor since it's platform based). otherwise it is higher than the arm when it is lower) Note that Riverstone's unique setting creates a NON-MAGNETIC surface. Just the thing to prevent the MC cartridge from pinching the sensor and thereby risking possible damage to your precious (and often quite expensive) device when trying to pry it out of the gauge's grip (something I found on his old pressure gauge and one collided). previous incarnation of the OC-9). Pressure gauge to avoid possible leakage when the device is stored. In general; I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to others looking for a safe and accurate way to get the best sound from their analog setups.

Pros
  • hands-free
Cons
  • I'm silent
