Review on πŸ“Έ Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR Camera Bundle: 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor + 18-135mm USM Lens - Black by Asahi Akio ᠌

Quite good, but I expected more from it.

I have been a consistent Canon user for the past 20 years. First there was the D40, then the D60. I do scene and landscape photography. In semi-professional mode. In the sense that photography is not the main source of income. Because the main shooting takes place in the conditions of long mountain hikes - the weight and dimensions of the camera matter. The XXD line is optimal for this. If we compare the 60D and 80D, then a bunch of all sorts of strange whistles and fakes have appeared that are not really needed. But at the same time, the model did not give any tangible change in the parameters and quality of shooting. Improvements have touched, first of all, the quality of work in fully automatic mode. But. The camera has forgotten how to accurately focus.

Pros
  • Relatively compact "camping" camera with good performance. Suitable for those who use such a camera in automatic mode.
Cons
  • The main drawback: focus - misses all the time. Those. at all. Thought it was a technical problem. I took it to the service center - it did not help. Still, he manages to miss the point. If this is not very noticeable on zooms with low detail, then it is impossible to "catch the hairs" in the portrait with this device. This is especially noticeable on fixes with high resolution. Battery life is noticeably less than its predecessor. It is impossible to go 2 weeks on one battery. Another important feature. If 60D is on, it fell asleep in a "dead sleep" and did not consume the battery. That 80D in the mode is included (if you forgot) - it survives very intensively. A month at rest and the battery is empty.

Never let me down. Satisfied. I recommend.
