I simply wrapped the straps around my wires at one end and secured them with some staples. Now I can pack and secure them, and then super clean with no cord wear. If I have a large power supply, I just glue a bunch of them together. The key attaches one end to the string. Then you wrap the other end around the string. I have ordered this set twice.
