My first attempt at improving tap water. Unfortunately, what came out with them after filtering tasted just like it did out of the tap. My friend told me that the local water company doesn't use regular chlorine. This is a type of derivative that does not evaporate and remains in the water. Tried letting the bucket sit for 24 hours before filtering but same crappy taste of tap water. Slow-drip filters seem to work, but not my problem with the bad chemical taste of tap water. I'd love to try them on rainwater, but I don't feel like collecting enough water. So I just don't know yet. I don't want to badmouth them, but they didn't even make my tap water bearable.
