My Magic Mud is unlike any toothpaste I've ever used, so I suggest you put aside all your notions of what toothpaste "should" be. Keeping a black or dark-colored washcloth handy to wipe down the sink after brushing and rinsing is an easy task, but given the impressive benefits of this unique toothpaste, it's definitely worth it.
