The stand fits perfectly in the half-sheet tray (from Sam's). Rack dimensions: 16 9/16" x 11 9/16" (one end) and 11 5/8" (other) x 1/2" (slight variation). I think the rack will support an evenly distributed weight. I made sweet potato fries and the clean up was fine (although I sprinkled it on Pam and baked potatoes don't make a huge mess). I've also had fried bacon and baked chicken wings (tested without spraying Pam). was easy to wash after soaking in dishwater for a short time (about 2 minutes). I haven't seen any rust yet. I think this grate will hold up well to baking and last a while. If anything changes I will update the review.
