It's round and has a hole in it.
This is a split sleeve. It's made out of some kind of rubber. There is nothing more to say. I bought this to use as a hood stay on a Ford Focus. No problems installing, went in easily, seems secure, does the job well. I hope it doesn't harden and fall apart in the next five years. When that happens I just buy another one because they are pretty cheap.
