Maybe you can call it a "whisper" if you think a rickety ceiling fan is quiet. Or that annoying ringing when you're driving and one of the cups in the cup holder is rattling. Something like a train clicking on the tracks. You might not be able to hear it when the TV is on full blast because your husband is going deaf, and you might not be able to hear it when Alexa is playing Disturbed or John Denver. But you can hear it when you have dinner with your family. Feed your newborn baby while you sleep on the couch. While chatting with your friends over a glass of wine. I want to say: This is NOT a soft whisper. It's louder than the ticking clock I was trying to replace. But I've already hung it up and thrown away the box and packaging - I don't know if I can return it, so I just spent $40 on a (really loud) quiet (useless) clock. Brilliant.
