This overall keeps kids warm and protects them from snow. I am really very happy with the performance of the suit. I have size 12-18mos. My low score is because the costume I received does NOT have an overgrown system as advertised. This is our second winter with him. I just turned it over and grabbed my sewing scissors. My suit is not adjustable. I'm not sure how you can verify which strains have overgrown technology in this strain list, but I suggest you try. This is an expensive item for only one season of use.
