I have never owned a robot vacuum before buying it on sale. I live on a mini farm with a few pets so hair is a big issue here. Even if we don't wear shoes in the house, we mostly have tiled floors and sweep daily, the floors are never as clean as we would like. I was very glad to get some "help" in this endeavor, although I certainly wasn't expecting a wonderful world where I would never sweep or mop again. Upon unboxing this item was very disappointing. The setup was too complicated, the manual was useless and trying to get it online took hours. (Two of the people I live with are computer engineers, so it's not like they've been technology challenged.) Once it was finally set up, it worked pretty well - within 4 days. After that, when told to start the cycle, the device worked for 4-7 minutes, spinning in circles, and then returning to the base. The battery was fully charged, I meticulously cleaned all the sensors, restarted the device, nada. It just wouldn't work. My reason for this one star rating was not only issues with the device but also the fact that when I contacted customer service about these issues their response was very disappointing. I explained the runtime issue and they replied that they were aware of the issue, would fix it in future models and encouraged me to return the product. This tells me that they knowingly sell defective equipment and they just don't care. (Hoping they don't kamikaze before the 30-day return window is up?) I'm still a bit frustrated with the hours I've lost using this thing, but there's a good side to it. Those precious few days of having the device working showed me that I could actually use a robotic sweeping friend, and I ordered a model from another company the same day I returned this device. This one (was on sale for about the same price as this one) is made by Eufy, works beautifully throughout, and we'll live happily ever after (or at least until I can afford a self-loading model). Update: company. contacted me and explained that the information I received from an intern at their company is incorrect and that a support team is available to resolve any issues with the product. To their credit they asked what they could do to rectify the situation but as I had already returned the vacuum and am quite happy with the replacement model I had I have no desire to buy it again to try. At first I was most frustrated with the star upgrade in this review as the customer service frustrated me the most.
