For $10 you get decent rates. They are great for cooking, decanting and serving. Not so surprising for cutting. The large and medium sizes are good for general use, but the small size is too small to be used for anything other than a stand. They're nowhere near as good as thick hardwood chopping blocks, but the cost is 1/10 the price. They easily leave marks from a knife and slide on the countertop. We use the middle shelf next to the toaster/coffee machine for breakfast, for example to cut bread or distribute jams. We use a large cutting board as a tray when we take veggies out of the fridge and place them next to a heavy cutting block. In addition, to transfer the chopped vegetables to a dish, since they are much lighter and thinner than a block. The shape fits, but square edges would be better. If you only use your cutting board once or twice a week, they will work just fine. If you just need something to protect your countertop and slice bread or brew coffee these will work great. If you have a small kitchen and want to hide some lightweight cutting boards, these are perfect.
