These brush heads are of course high quality brushes and will work like new in the original unit. But I'd really like to see someone make and sell counterfeits like they do with their competitors' toothbrush systems. If you change them every three months, as recommended by Water Pik, you'll be spending over $50 a year, PLUS the time you've already spent on the brushing/flossing system. I like softer bristles because most people permanently damage tooth enamel. excessive pressure when brushing. (I know what I did). And cleaning the gums with an irrigator and massaging with a jet of water is the best treatment of its kind. But $26 for two? It's just crazy - even in our current spoiled "pay-to-play" society.
