This is a nice shelving set that is easy to install and looks good. They're listed as "Floating" in the description, but floating shelves don't have visible brackets, so they really aren't. They are also referred to as "heavy duty, load bearing" in the description, but neither the description nor the instructions have recommended weight limits. Unless you swap out the screws for something more solid and put one side in a stud I would consider it light. The shelves themselves are very light. They consist of at least three pieces of wood that are very well, almost imperceptibly, connected to each other. The tree was not processed. Expect it to be a "rustic" shelf. The wood is slightly rough, not sanded smooth, untreated. I think I would have preferred something smooth and polished but my husband bought these for his barn and he likes them just the way they are. The items were well packed. Everything fits and rises without problems. The only thing that worries my husband is that if you accidentally hit the bottom of the shelf you could slip the bracket and tip the whole thing over. This is due to the keyholes in the brackets sliding over the screws you drive into the walls. You can avoid this hazard by placing a second screw in the wall under each of the supplied screws to prevent the brackets from sliding up. Overall this is a good shelf. They're a bit rustic (i.e. unfinished) in my opinion, but depending on your decor, this could be just what you're looking for.
