The measurment they say it is is wrong, the reason it is wrong is because they are not accounting for the extra inch on each side the plastic pieces that hold it together hand off. The grates alone is the measured amount they have listed, this is why i bought this was because it fit it my closet cubby with with a half inch to spare. not with the plastic pieces on it though. I had to clip all the zip ties off ( the ones provided were to small in my opinion anyway, that size is for wire management for electronics not for shelf support). I had to get my expensive thick black zipties that i paid $20 for and build the shelf using only those not using the plastic black pieces. Now it fits in my closet cubby with a half inch to spare. Totally not worth $50. Only reason, im not returning it as of yet is because it fits perfect and can not find another one that will fit in my closet cubby with that fit. This shouldnt cost more than $20.
