If you're expecting clear blue insulation, think again. It has a very heavy case with a cotton wrap (not typical for speaker cords) for easy pulling. (Perhaps it reminds you more of a thick power tool cord than speaker wire.) Each conductor has very heavy color-coded insulation. The wire works very well, although it's a little tricky to strip even with good wire strippers. It conducts at least as well as the Monster cable, but at a much better price. I have no complaints about him.
