Full Disclosure: I am a CCNA IT Manager (Cisco Certified) with networking experience. Yes, I had problems with it at first. I bought this unit to broadcast the network about 100/150 feet to my shed. Why? The manual, the stickers on the back of the devices, and even the advertisements on the Revain listing are written by someone who 1) doesn't understand the internet very well and/or 2) doesn't speak English very well. The web interface is a bit confusing and could be improved a bit. HOWEVER, once you get the feel of it, it's actually SUPER easy to set up. No worries for network/IT professionals. It's not ASA. The first thing to understand: Block A is the RECEIVER, BLOCK B is the TRANSMITTER. YOU ONLY NEED TO INSTALL UNIT B, THEN INTERFACE (for Bridge). Common sense may lead you to believe/assume that the opposite is true. This confused me for a while until I was able to find this important information in the manual, sandwiched between some useless information that wasn't correctly translated into English. 2.) If configuring within the WebUI/GUI: IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO FILL IN ALL SECTIONS, ie: Wireless Access Point, Bridge and Repeater. Do not do that. You'll fall down a rabbit hole, desperate for the next shot and gun. If you want a bridge, stick to the bridge. It's not designed to do everything at once, and the nuances in translation/jargon will confuse your logic. 3.) If your main router has advanced security features or you have a home router at home, it may be flagged as a "rogue hotspot", especially in "repeater mode". I suggest using IP binding/MAC filtering so that the CPE and your home router work well together.
