Great drone for beginners and pros!

I'll start by saying that I'm by no means a drone pilot. So far my track record consists of 3 successful flights and 2 unsuccessful flights ending with the drone getting stuck in a tree. I lost one drone to rain and almost another to snow so I turned around to find one that was much easier to fly and could replace my other two drones (one was still stuck in a tree! ). When I unpacked the drone, I was initially very surprised by its size. I figured it wouldn't be able to handle light winds, which other drones I've encountered on test flights proved wrong when I took them to a local park. Since it's usually empty in winter, I've always used it to test RC toys and test their outdoor endurance as we have too many fairly large trees in the area. The day I tested it the wind speed was pretty low which was perfect for flying the drone (there is a warning not to fly it in wind speeds above 4 or moderate wind). The instructions were very easy to read, so I was able to connect the drone to the remote control without any problems. However, in order to connect your phone to the drone, you need to turn off mobile data, which is not mentioned in the instructions. After doing everything to connect the phone to the drone, including turning off mobile data, I was able to see the drone's camera live. The image is excellent for such a drone, however there is a few seconds lag. between the action performed and what the camera shows, although I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my phone. I also noticed that the range is pretty short because if you move the drone too high or too far, maybe 50 feet or so, the image will start to stutter and lag until eventually it freezes and the app you're using not cause (GX-FPV) to take off, forcing you to land and reopen the drone. The photos also don't seem to be supported by some apps on the phone, so it's best to transfer them to your computer and also insert an SD card to make sure they're backed up properly. Now for the flight. . I was very pleased with how well the drone flew. It can rise and fall easily and also float in place in light winds, although trimming was required to keep it stable. Using the controls on the phone to allow it to stabilize and hang up also helped as the remote doesn't seem to have a button to activate certain features that are available when the phone is connected to it. The automatic takeoff and landing also worked well and the drone, although initially having some trouble realizing it was on the ground, possibly due to the legs the drone is equipped with, was able to land correctly on the ground. ground and stop. It also appears to lock automatically, preventing accidental mounts when attempting to retrieve it. To unlock it, simply press the lock button on the lower left side of the controller and the drone's propellers will spin slowly, making it easier to take off. The headless mode was also very easy to set up and the drone's orientation was exactly the same as the remote controller's, as promised. He can also perform tricks with ease, taking the time to get up in the air a bit before doing somersaults to ensure he doesn't hit obstacles mid-trick as he loses height after the somersault. In terms of battery life, it lasted about as long as promised and in some cases even longer as I got around 17 minutes of flight time with mine, as opposed to the estimated 13 minutes even with the camera on. When the battery is low, the drone's lights will flash and gradually turn off. It lands by itself and cannot take off again even if you turn it off and on again. So if it's low on power, it's really low on power. I suggest draining it completely before trying to charge it again. As for the remote, it feels quite comfortable in my hands and is easy to use, although more button labeling would be very helpful. All buttons can be reached without having to reposition the remote in hand, even with gloves on, so it's a great experience, although I wish it was made from a more durable material, as I accidentally got mine on the way back from to dropped home. A successful test flight that shattered the back of the right hand side leaving a gaping hole in it, although the remote still works as intended, only much more awkward to use, leaving jagged bits of plastic behind as a reminder of my madness. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I would advise anyone who wants to delve into the endless realm of drones to consider getting this drone for their first flight as it is very easy to use and lots of fun for everyone! Additionally, it can be easily folded to take it with you over long distances, unlike most drones which can be quite large but still retain their mobility and speed once deployed. I gave it a 4 star rating due to issues with the camera and remote control, but I still highly recommend it!
