Not silk but they work very well
I use silk ties to sleep to keep my hair from getting tangled. It is definitely not silk as advertised. However, they work almost as well as the real silk ribbons I have. Well worth the cost of 5 (satin or blend I guess) straps for the price I paid for 2 real silk.
