I haven't used them as water shoes so can't comment on that. Extremely comfortable and I think they fit like fun (mostly) indoor shoes. I can't speak for long term comfort as they are thinner but I have found that I have the same severe foot pain in my New Balance as I do in them after being at work all day, their benefit is that my bones it doesn't are irritated and the toe box has plenty of room. They have a bit of "cotton" in them and won't make you look stylish unless you think toesoles are the latest fashion. The pink and gray camo is cute, but I probably would have liked a simpler pattern and would definitely buy it. I bought a compa size for my wives and it fits perfectly.
