I recently bought a pair of Oneplus 8s for the two of us, only to find that our standard USB-C cables either suddenly disconnect from the phone or don't charge. So I ordered 2 USB packs each. These cables are charged by the OnePlus charger and remain connected to the phone. However, the other side of her cable detaches from the charger, even after confirming that the cable is fully inserted into the charger. After some fiddling, the cable either needs to be routed a certain way, or I need to use a rubber band to increase the tension, which starts the phone's charging cycle. I am totally annoyed by red OnePlus cables that are NOT standard USB-C cables that do NOT work stably even with 100% OnePlus hardware. (Correction: Some female interfaces work well and some don't, so tight tolerances work better. Still 3 stars because it's still too picky about what you connect this cable to.) If you can put up with these significant flaws in OnePlus products , then over everything means buy. Why did I buy it? This is perhaps the cheapest flagship phone. I have to give these cables 2 stars because I hate the color red without the white and blue stripes to match the red: POh, one more thing, don't connect standard USB-C cables to your OnePlus phone. Over time, you will ruin the smartphone's USB interface. If you search you can find OnePlus internal parts that replace the OnePlus USB interface. Hm. I wonder why.
