I bought these for both my husband and I. I got us our usual sizes, women's 8.5 and men's 11.5, they fit perfect! Not only that the tightening string (not sure if that's what its called) was great for securing the shoes to our feet. Others in our group that had velcro straps had them come undone almost immediately after getting in the water. The soles were thick so you didn't feel everything below but they do have holes so rock can get stuck in them but they aren't bothersome. The best part of all, for me anyways, was that they are very nice looking, almost like regular sneakers instead of the usual ugly water shoe styles. I would definitely recommend and would buy again when needed.
