A harsh conditioner lifts a gentle shampoo

(Considered as a set.) I love pineapple and wanted to love this product so much that I bought a set. I have long, thick, curly, localized hair that's prone to frizz; I am also sensitive to odors and tend towards natural products. SHAMPOO: Has a light, sweet real fruit scent that needs more depth and strength. It doesn't smell like pino colada but I think I can smell banana (not my favorite). I find fragrance difficult to balance in hair products; I like it in general. The lather is very thick with a nice clean silky finish and leaves my wet hair clean and soft, not streaky with really defined spiral curls. I don't smell pineapple in my hair after rinsing. Pleasant to the touch, good shampoo, gentle enough to use often. However, I prefer to wash once a week, so it's too gentle for me. But I loved it and was happy to try a conditioner that would enhance and continue that sweet, soft, frizzy feeling. It was disappointing. AIR CONDITIONING: Same smell, no problem. Feels light but weird and smooth and is actually a bit too light/thin for thick hair. I had to use it a lot, more often than other conditioners, and I had to push it into my hair to let it sink in - it was like a rebellious conditioner that wouldn't work. The shampoo left the exact opposite feeling: greasy, unnatural, poorly formulated, drying. It doesn't stick to my hair as much as I'd like so I had to rinse and rinse and rinse, defeating the original good shampoo. Pacifica products aren't cheap, but they always feel cheaper. My search for a cleanser for curly hair continues.
