I gave it 4 stars because the case is made of hard plastic and felt like it would break if I dropped it or accidentally bumped into something. Something this fragile had to come with a hard case. Otherwise everything works fine. Note: You can't see the laser beyond 5ft in direct sunlight (5ft is already pushing it) like all other laser levels I've used in the past. Suggestion: It would be helpful if the unit came with separate feet for easy adjustment like some other levels and a bubble level to see the direction the unit is tilted. Update: Changed from 4 stars to 2 stars due to very weak Maglev. The adjustment knobs are difficult to operate due to the thin hanger. Also, the laser wasn't at the right 90 degrees. This could be because the device arrived unlocked, so the lasers bounced around during shipping. Besides the above accessories, the laser has good performance.
