I bought them and put two in the kitchen and two in the toilet, all under shelves or cupboards, above the stove and over a dark spot on the kitchen table and workstations above . The cord is long enough to reach any outlet nearby. The lights are easy to assemble with a drill and screwdriver. They are very light and have a very thin profile, but put out VERY bright light. If you have places where you want bright light but don't want to pay an electrician to come and install lights on the ceiling or under shelves or cabinets, I recommend these lights. As long as you have an outlet nearby (or I think an extension cord is fine, these are LED bulbs, they don't get very hot and don't draw a lot of amps. If that's the case, just use a heavier-duty extension cord and I'm sure your done would be fine however they are for indoor use otherwise get a set, choose your dark spots and let it go light!
