It's definitely not brown. It's more of a yellow color that looks a bit cheap. The material itself feels very comfortable. It looks so much like leather that at first I was afraid it was. But I've had that with other products too. I'm pretty sure it's not leather. It can be adjusted by removing the screw, cutting the strap and retightening the screw. If the screw gets lost, you screwed it up. This is the best part of the belt. I also ordered black. Let's see if he gets better. Overall not the best belt I've had, but not very expensive either. I will leave this one for everyday use.
