I have purchased several types of grill brushes. I think some of the bigger Boos stores don't have anyone who has tried many of the grilling tools they sell. Cleaning the grill, keeping it "seasoned," and bringing out the flavor of previous grills is one of the keys to successful cooking. With that in mind, I've put together a few tools that deliver great results. This grill brush is more like blobs of cleaning pads on a plastic handle. The pods are compact, will not fall apart when used, leaving no sharp pieces to choke on. The pad is easy to grab. I follow the practice of many grillers: heat the grill to temperature, then use a grill brush to brush away the residue from the previous grill. Yukon Glory does this in a hit or two. I have a Weber Summit gas grill with extra large stainless steel bars which are inherently easier to clean than cast iron grates which peel off in layers unless you soak them in oil after each use. So if you have cast iron your mileage may differ from Yukon. I got rid of other inferior products. Less effort to just drop them and not take their problems to others.
