I was sitting on a gerbil and found that its food plate kept oozing into the bedding. After searching for a solution I came across this table. It worked better than I had hoped. BENEFITS • First, although a few sprinkles will still end up in the bowl, they're easy enough to pick out! Now their food is clean and I can see what they are eating (hooray!). They even come to the table for a treat. But the table has other advantages... • THEY POOP ON THE TABLE! Spot cleaning her cage is now incredibly easy! I have yet to look for "yellow" pee pads, but poop seems to be mostly collected. • More room! In fact, it became another level that gave them more room to maneuver. They built a tricky tunnel under the table to their flophouse. • One of the gerbils likes to stand on a table to do a full abdominal stretch. Pretty cute CONS • Legs! As with almost every other review, I noticed that the legs are very loose with the dowel system used. I ended up trying each foot with each needle - some fit better than others. My problem is that the pins also started to fall out, so even if they were tight on the leg and pin, the leg would still come loose... just the pin. So I glued all the pins. They left the table for 24 hours (no smell of glue just to be sure) and put it in the case. I made sure the glue didn't drip and the gerbils couldn't get to it. This is a quality control issue - hopefully the manufacturer takes note of the price. I bought the smaller of the two and it was perfect. See photos!
