Review on Black Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Professional Grade Studio Monitor Headphones with Detachable Cable - Critically Acclaimed by Anand Singh ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

I listen in tandem with hidizs ap100, and if it is stationary, then an old x-fi titanium fatality is installed on my computer. both can play 24/192. I did not try to connect to a smartphone. I can’t say anything about the “depth of the scene” - I don’t drag in these matters. I can say that with a good source and a normal format, the sound is awesome. in the sense that everything suits me personally - both ac / dc, and kraftwerk, and pj harvey sound as they should, there is enough of everything, I don’t hear any “blockages”. I took these headphones as universal ones, and this is subjectively not entirely true. as home they are beautiful, as portable street ones, in general, too. but for the metro they are too elegant, in my opinion. I need something not so bulky. although this is, of course, a matter of taste. one more thing, again subjective. for the listener, the soundproofing is complete - only music is heard, but for others - I would not say. at half the volume of ap100 they can be heard very well from the outside. another thing is that not everyone likes such loudness, I'm just a bear in this regard.

Pros
  • 1) sound quality 2) quality of materials 3) build quality 4) the reliability of the headphones themselves (I’ve been listening for eight or nine months - nothing fell off, didn’t start to play, creak, crack, bend in the wrong direction, etc.) 5) reliability of the cable (special thanks to the manufacturer for this - there are ropes, not "threads", the fastening is also made firmly)
Cons
  • did not seek and do not want
