I like the fully automatic operation. With my other turntable, you have to manually put the pin on the record and remove it when the record is done. One downside is that the power button is on the back (it's not the start and stop buttons that are on the front). Depending on how accessible the back of the turntable is, it can be difficult to operate the switch (mine is in some sort of rack that doesn't have much room to reach from the back to use the switch). I haven't used the USB write function, so I can't comment on that.
