So it has become a really cool device. I chose that because it wasn't Facebook. LAUGH OUT LOUD! (Also, this ONSCREEN company appears to offer genuine privacy protection.) In any case, this is a reliable, well-made device. Easy to connect. You install an app, which then displays a QR code on your phone, which is scanned by the device's camera. The only catch was that there was a "privacy cover" on the lens of the device that I couldn't open - user error, instructions not followed - but once I figured it out, everything happened very quickly. The image is sharp, clear and responsive. It was as good as any video conferencing system I've used in corporate conference rooms. My wife and I can now video chat with our kids without having to huddle around someone's phone to Facetime. I am happy with this purchase and intend to buy another one for my parents; super easy.
