I was pleasantly surprised by this loofah. I've been researching alternative washcloths because I didn't like the idea of throwing mine in the landfill. But it's a great alternative! I cut a piece about 5 inches long, soaked it in water and used it in the shower at night. Don't be put off by the smell when you first take it out of the box, I'm sure it has to do with the packaging process. I assure you it will pass very quickly. It lathers up well in the shower and gives me amazing exfoliation. It's soft and not very rough. Feels very similar to a plastic washcloth. I will tie a string to it soon and buy it again and again. I did a little research beforehand on which region to buy it in and while I haven't tried others from other parts of the world, this one is perfect for my needs. Highly recommended!
