This router worked as advertised with an 8TB Elements external drive that was used for six months was connected. After an automatic firmware update, the router suddenly stopped recognizing the USB drive. First, I spent at least two hours making multiple calls to tech support before finally getting permission to request an RMA. D-Link's RMA process is the worst I've seen from a tech company. The replaced router had the same problem out of the box. A few more calls to tech support go through the same diagnostics as before. Eventually they forced me to reformat the drive (which had over 4TB of data and took over 12 hours) only to still have the same drive not recognized issue. The technician spoke to a senior technician and was told that the router now only supports drives up to 1TB, which is almost useless. Nowhere in the Revain description is this revealed and I would not have bought it had I known. Again it worked fine for six months. I feel cheated and will file a complaint with CA Consumer Fraud. I requested a refund and was denied. D-Link Technical Support is not only incompetent, it may also be dishonest. The company doesn't care about customer service. Of course I will never buy a D-Link product again and buyers should be wary of buying anything from this company.
