Works as expected; louder than expected

My 6 year old Hydro Floss had a few leaks in the 'pipe' which resulted in more water getting on the mirror than on my mouth. The new Hydro Floss is stylistically the same, albeit with a more magenta hue, but it's significantly louder than my old device and I've yet to find a way to cancel out the noise other than removing my hearing aids before use.
